Grant Information and Application
Because of the global reach of APL and its parent company NOL, APL receives grant requests from all parts of the world. Not surprisingly, the company’s ability to fulfill these requests is limited, and depends on whether or not a given request meets specific criteria.
The individual, organization, or community for which the request is being made must fall within one of these five areas of focus:
- Community Improvement Environmental Enhancement Asian-American Relations U.S. Veterans
- International Trade
Eligible organizations include those that have established and maintained Federal tax-exempt status as a charitable organization under Section 501 (c) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code and are a public organization exempt from private foundation status under Section 509 (a) (1), (2), or (3) of the Code.
Religious, labor, or fraternal organizations are ineligible except for programs that benefit the community at large. Political parties, organizations, candidates, or issues are also ineligible.
