Dear Valued Customer,

We write to inform you that on August 11, while enroute from Kolkata – Haldia to Singapore, the vessel Tiger Spirit, which is carrying your container(s), has experienced a problem with her rudder.

As a result, the owner has engaged the tug, ‘Marina Phevos’ to tow her to Katang Off Port Limits, Thailand (just south of Phuket) before proceeding to the next scheduled port of call.

The tug will refuel at Katang while owners investigate the possibility of arranging for divers to secure her rudder amidship – which may then permit use of ship's engines to increase tow speed.

The Owner has advised that neither the vessel nor the cargo are in danger. We await further advice from the Owner on the progress of the tow and we will keep you updated as soon as we receive additional information.
