Customer Advisory - West Coast Work Stoppage May 1, 2008 West Coast Work Stoppage Dear APL Customer, A job action by longshore workers has closed most marine terminals – including those operated by APL – at major U.S. West Coast ports today. The action coincides with anti-war protests in major port cities up and down the coast. We can’t be certain when the walkout will end but we anticipate returning to normal operations Friday, May 2. We will update you as the situation develops. As always, APL will put its full resources into managing through the uncertainty caused by this incident and assuring schedule integrity for your shipments.
