New Regulations Governing the Import of Used Cars to Yemen
31 December 2009
Dear Valued Customer,
As per the Department of the President of the Republic of Yemen’s Circular No. 279/5, effective 1st January 2010, the import of used cars which have previously been damaged or involved in any traffic accidents, such as car collision and others, will be not permitted.
Strict enforcement by local authorities is expected. Failure to comply may result in the cargo being re-exported to origin. Penalties may also be imposed on both the shipper and carrier. Therefore, please ensure that your shipment of used cars into Yemen comply with the above regulation to avoid incurring penalties.
As always, don’t hesitate to contact your local customer service or APL representative, if you require further assistance.
Yours Sincerely,
|
