CMA CGM LIBRA

We have been informed by the vessel operator, CMA CGM, that vessel “CMA CGM LIBRA” on which your containers are loaded ran aground in the early morning of 18 May 2011 after departure from the port of Xiamen.

Fortunately, there is no pollution, damage to vessel or injury to crew reported.

CMA CGM is in liaison with the Chinese authorities and is looking at the best options to re-float the vessel.

At this point, it is not clear what effect the incident will have on the vessel schedule or delivery of your cargo.  We will notify you about the disposition of your cargo as soon as we get additional information on the vessel’s recovery.  In the meantime, please accept our sincere apologies for the inconvenience this matter has caused you and we will keep you closely advised of any further developments.
