Impact of tropical storm ‘IRENE’ on operations in the U.S.

We wish to inform you on the impact of ‘Irene’, which has been downgraded from a Hurricane to Tropical Storm status as of Sunday, 28 August.
There has been minimal impact on APL line haul vessels calling at U.S. East Coast ports.
The following are the updated vessel schedule on the respective APL services:
APX Service/APL Sardonyx V120 – vessel in New York port has to evacuate due to ‘Irene’ and will re-berth when New York re-opens on 29 August.
SZX Service/APL Cyprine V175 – vessel will arrive Norfolk on 29 August and start cargo work at 0700 hours with ETD 30 August at 0500 hours.
NYX Service/APL Beijing V044 – vessel omitted Norfolk and has discharged all Norfolk inbound cargo at New York for re-routing to final destination. Exports from Norfolk will have to wait for next week vessel. Vessel’s ETA Savannah 29 August at 1500 hours.
SZX Service/President Jackson V220 – vessel’s ETA New York 30 August and expects to berth and commence cargo operation at 2300 hours.
IAX Service/CMA CGM Puget V779W – due to “Irene”, vessel’s ETA New York will be delayed.
