M.V. CSCL Qingdao V180S

We are writing to inform you that ship operator, China Shipping Container Lines Co., Ltd, reported that their vessel M.V. CSCL Qingdao suffered an engine problem on her southbound voyage which necessitates urgent repairs.

The vessel is now at anchor in Hong Kong and it is estimated that completion of repairs may take some 8 to 9 days and therefore the tentative sailing date is about 22 June 2012. The tentative schedule is as follows:

Hong Kong 22 June 2012
Sydney 30 June 2012
Melbourne 03 July 2012
Brisbane 07 July 2012

Your cargo is unfortunately on board the vessel, M.V. CSCL Qingdao.

We will keep you informed once we receive further update from ship operator and as soon as we know the disposition of your cargo.

In the meantime, this incident is likely to result in a delay to the delivery of your cargo. Please accept APL’s sincere apologies for the inconvenience this matter has caused you.
