Implementation of Manifest Amendment Fee in Japan

With effect from 23 August 2012, APL will be imposing a fee for any amendments made by customers to manifest data after the inbound manifest has been submitted to Japan Customs for cargo arriving at Japanese port(s).

The applicable fee will be five thousand yen (¥5000) per BL amendment and will be borne by the requestor of the amendment.

The amendment to manifest data will only be made provided such a request is approved by the Japan Customs.
