Hyundai Garnet: Steering Problem 01 Sep 2006 We are pleased to inform you that repairs to the vessel are close to completion. The revised departure date from the port of Manzanillo is 1 September and the vessel ETA for New York is now 6 September. If you require further assistance, please contact your APL Customer Service Representative. 29 Aug 2006On 27 August the Hyundai Garnet, which was carrying APL customers’ cargo, experienced a steering malfunction while transiting the Panama Canal under pilotage. The vessel incurred minor damage and is undergoing repairs, which are currently estimated to take around five days to complete. Therefore, the revised departure date from the port of Manzanillo is 2 September and the vessel ETA for New York is 7 September.
