Fixing Bottle Seal on all laden containers to be handled at JNP Container Terminal

INDIA INBOUND CARGO – SECURITY SEAL REQUIREMENT

Please be aware that regulations for India inbound cargo require a security (bullet) seal to be in place on all containers at the time of discharge at local ports.

While this has been a requirement for some time, we are highlighting the issue to help ensure that your cargo is fully compliant and not unnecessarily delayed during the Customs clearance process in India. APL has been advising customers of this point at the time of booking.

You should note that failure to fix a bullet seal could result in your cargo being held by Indian Customs, with delays in delivery and additional costs being incurred.
