Declaration of Strategic Goods
(Transshipment Points)

IMPORTANT NOTICE:

Please be aware that a number of countries will be requiring the declaration of strategic goods at transshipment points in addition to the current documentation processes at origin and destination. This includes Singapore from January 1, 2003.

Our priority is to ensure the smooth flow of your cargo through our network, and we are encouraging all shippers and consignees to take a proactive approach to declaring and providing us with the documentation needed to meet this requirement.

If you are shipping such goods, please notify us so that we can assist you in declaring these commodities to authorities at transshipment ports. Carriers, including APL, may request more information from you when you notify them of shipments of controlled or 'dual-use' goods. We will also contact you in the event that controlled or 'dual-use' goods appear in your shipping information.
