The following benefits are available to MEBA employees in most locations in the United States. If you are applying for a job, be sure to ask about the benefits package for that location.
RETIREMENT PLAN
APL pays the full cost of this plan. Participation begins with the date of hire. The monthly retirement benefit is based on:- The amount of your average monthly earnings.
- The numbers of years of credited service you have completed.
Account accumulates annual credits and interest each year. You become vested in your account when you obtain five years of service with APL.

BENEFITS PLAN
| Medical Options | HMOs: $0 - $10 co-pay for most services. Coverage begins after 90 days. |
| Dental | Standard dental. Coverage begins after 90 days.

| Vision | MetLife vision coverage (except Kaiser members receive services from Kaiser). Coverage begins after 90 days.

| Life Insurance | One times salary is provided at no charge. Additional coverage is available.
|
| Disability Insurance | Coverage of 60% of monthly base pay after 90 day waiting period.

TIME OFF WITH PAY
| Vacation | New hires accrue up to 5 days of vacation their first calendar year. After the first calendar year, accrual is 10 days per year. Accruals increase to 15 days after 4 continuous years of service.

| Holidays | 13 paid holidays (including 4 floating holidays).
|
| Sick Pay | New hires accrue 1 day per month, up to a maximum of 90 days.
