APL now makes it easy to track your shipments by your own “shipment reference”
which is any combination of letters, words or numbers that identifies your shipment.
Examples include:
Purchase order number
Invoice number
Warehouse or store code
Letter of Credit number
Third-party reference number
A shipment reference can also be words that describe details about your shipment:

1. ASSIGN Assign your shipment reference to BLs or containers directly from HomePort.
You can choose any combination of letters and numbers up to 35 characters.
2. UPDATE It's easy to update, modify and re-use your reference once you've assigned
them. Group multiple shipments under one reference to consolidate tracking. For
example, all shipments destined to a particular consignee.
3. TRACK
Go to HomePort
and choose Shipment Reference.
Enter your reference
number, and you'll instantly receive tracking results, including delivery status.
