Trans-Pacific Eastbound Market – Bunker Adjustment Factor (BAF) Update For Refrigerated Cargo

With reference to our previous advisory dated 4 December 2019, please be informed on the updated quantums for refrigerated cargo for the quarterly Bunker Adjustment Factor (BAF) – also known as Bunker Surcharge (BSC) – for long-term contracts of more than 3 months' validity.

The service scope and quantums for 20' remain effective 1 January 2020 until further notice. The updated quantums (highlighted in bold) will be effective 10 January 2020 until further notice:

Origin: Asia, Australia, East Africa, Middle East, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea, West Asia(1,2)
Destination: Canada, USA (US West Coast/ Group 4 except Puerto Rico and Virgin Islands), Hawaii

2. This bunker surcharge (BAF03) is applicable to any service contract or tariff rate item that has validity greater than three months and not subject to bunker surcharge (BAF08).
