Irish Exporters Set To Benefit From Latest APL Expansion London, May 12, 2005 – APL, the global shipping arm of the NOL Group, is further extending its reach of owned offices with the opening, on May 16 2005, of an office in Dublin, Ireland. This is the second own organisation launched by APL in as many months, following the establishment of APL Poland at the beginning of April. In Ireland, APL’s sales and operations activities have previously been handled by local agency Network Shipping Ltd, which has acted for APL since 1998. Dave Appleton, NOL’s president for Europe, has commended the activities of the agency and saluted its achievements. “We have enjoyed working with Network Shipping and appreciate the hard work and support they have shown us over the years since APL began to develop its own operations in Europe,” said Mr Appleton. “They understand our policy of establishing our own organisation where possible and we look forward to maintaining our good relationship in future.” APL has appointed Henrik Knudsen, a Danish national, as General Manager.
