NOL Group Scoops Two Limited Brands Logistics Services Award
The “Distinguished Service Award 2005” recognizes NOL's ability to execute on time a highly effective integration of the consolidation business of Limited Brands division Limited Logistics Services, from global origins to destinations, across all businesses, through the work of its container shipping line APL and supply chain management unit, APL Logistics. The second award for “Network on-time Performance” recognizes the achievements of APL Liner as the top delivering ocean carrier for Limited Logistics in 2004. This was despite the challenges posed by the congestion at US West Coast ports. Limited Logistics Services Senior Manager of International Transportation Mr John T. Joseph said, “Both APL and APL Logistics at the NOL Group have a proven ability to perform consistently and reliably Not only did they provide consistent and superior levels of customer service support, but they also offered accurate and timely market information. Perhaps most importantly, they provided flexibility and solutions to work around market disruptions and business challenges.” In giving APL its award, Mr Joseph said, “APL was well ahead of the developing problems on the West Coast and first to alert us and offer additional support in their network to avoid having substantial delays during peak season.
