Knowing Your Cargo

Perishable commodities need to be shipped under optimum conditions to ensure they arrive in prime form. They can be broadly categorized as:

• Chilled cargo
  Commodities that need to be shipped above product freezing temperature.

• Frozen cargo
  Commodities which are required to be shipped at -20^oC
  (-4^oF) or lower.

• Special and Exotic cargo
  Non-food products that require special handling such as temperature and/or humidity protection.
