Perishables
Perishable produce include fruits, vegetables, meats, dairy products, horticultural products (flower bulbs and ornamentals) as well as certain chemical, photographic supplies and pharmaceuticals.
To assure perishables retain their value in the marketplace, they must arrive in good condition and be suitable for consumption or their intended purposes. Many different factors affecting their shelf life require careful attention, and must be managed properly prior to and during transportation.
