Advisory Committee on Commercial Operations of Customs and Border Protection
Overview
COAC is an advisory committee established in accordance with the provisions of the Federal Advisory Committee Act. The committee provides advice to the Commissioner of U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), the Secretary of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and the Secretary of the Treasury on all matters involving the commercial operations of CBP and related functions within DHS or Treasury. COAC also plays an important role in not only improving supply chain
security but ensuring that trade is not disrupted in the process.
