We are reaching out to inform you about the upcoming third release of the European Union’s Import Control System 2 (ICS2), scheduled for November 13, 2024. This system is essential for enhancing the security and safety of customs pre-arrival procedures.

Beginning Monday, October 21, Import Demurrage payments at Bayport Container Terminal and Barbours Cut Terminal will be managed through eModal.

As a result of the tentative agreement reached between the USMX and the ILA on October 3, 2024, APL will not be implementing the Local Port Charge (LPC) that was scheduled to take effect on October 11, 2024.

Due to recent Federal Maritime Commission (“FMC”) regulatory developments related to “Demurrage and Detention Billing Requirements”, which will become effective on May 28, 2024, APL is implementing appropriate changes to its Demurrage and Detention (D&D) billing practices to ensure compliance with this new law.
