Japan’s Ports Situation Report

Dear Valued Customer,

The earthquake which occurred at 2:46 pm (local time) on 11 March 2011 some 179 km east of Sendai, Japan has disrupted our vessel schedules and operations, resulting in delays in berthing, temporary suspension of operations and some port omission. Following is a status update:

APL staff and terminal workers in Japan are safe and there are no reported injuries or damages. APL offices are opened with telephone access and e-mail contact. We have developed plans to work around the disruption to cargo flow. Regular updates will be provided to customers until normal cargo operations resume.
