Labour on Strike at Port Said East, Egypt
Dear Valued Customer,
We are writing to inform you that workers have recently staged a strike at Port Said East in Egypt, which halted operation activities at the port. As a result, all operation activities have ceased and there is currently no word on when operation will resume.
APL has developed plans to work around the disruption to cargo flow. In view of the port strike, cargoes on board vessels meant for transshipment or discharge at Port Said East, during this period are being re-routed to Malta, Salalah or Djibouti. We will arrange for service recovery once normal cargo operations resume.
Customers with questions about their cargo should contact your local APL representative.
