Trans-Pacific Market: Rochelle-bound cargo to move via Global 4 in Chicago from July 2019
On 2 May 2019, Union Pacific (UP) Railroad announced the planned idling of its Global 3 (G3) Intermodal Ramp in Rochelle, Illinois, by early July. This is part of UP’s Unified Plan 2020 to simplify the supply chain in order to provide a more consistent, reliable service product.
Nevertheless, please be assured that all international freight into Rochelle from U.S. West Coast can continue to move via the Global 4 (G4) International Intermodal Service intermodal ramp in Chicago.
APL is making all necessary arrangements to ensure the seamless connection of your cargo from G4 to Rochelle following the idling of UP’s G3 facility.
For queries, please don’t hesitate to contact your APL sales representative.
We thank you for your business and continued support.
