Russia Restricts Imports of Food & Agricultural Products from U.S., Canada, Australia, EU & Norway
The Russian government has issued a regulation order #560 prohibiting the import of the following food products from U.S., Canada, Australia, EU and Norway effective from 7 August 2014 for a period of one year:
In view of the above and with immediate effect, APL is unable to accept existing or new bookings of banned commodities to Russia.
All cargo received for shipments with banned commodities at load ports must be rebooked or redirected to non-sanctioned ports.
In cases where banned cargo is presently on the water to Russia, it must either be redirected to other non-sanctioned ports or returned to origin and cost of redirecting cargo is for shipper’s account.
