ILA Strike Update
World to/from USEC and USGC
Dear Valued APL Customer,
On October 3, 2024, USMX and the ILA reached a tentative agreement and will extend the Master Contract until January 15, 2025. As a result, operations resumed at all major terminals on the U.S. East Coast and Gulf. The Local Port Charge (LPC) which was scheduled to take effect on October 11, 2024, will be suspended and will not be implemented at this time.
APL is working closely with its partners to ensure operations can resume promptly.
Vessels waiting off terminals will berth and be operated on a “First In, First Out” basis.
Applicable Demurrage & Detention will resume assessment at the rate tier level in which assessment was suspended from the moment gates re-open.
